USA-11's Awlgrip deck and cockpit paint job.
Stars & Stripes USA-11 is the 1992 America’s Cup yacht that raced against, and lost, to Bill Koch in San Diego. She is currently owned by Sail USA11 and is chartered out for pleasure cruises and coporate training events. Over 19 years the boat accumulated screw holes and patches from numerous instrument and hardware changes. Hundreds of repairs were made to the carbon on USA-11 as we repaired the deck and cockpit area. We primed and painted the entire cockpit floor and sides including the barney post (the floor texture was done by broadcasting Awlgrip Griptex into the Awlgrip finish). All priming and painting of this area was done by Wally Eaton of Infinity Yacht Services. We then moved to the upper deck area. All repairs to the upper deck area including application of Awlgrip primers were done by Wally Eaton of Infinity Yacht Services. Awlgrip non-skid was spray applied by Knight and Carver.
