Awlwash
To help maintain the mirror-like luster of Awlgrip or Alwcraft2000 topcoats, Awlgrip has introduced AwlwashT Washdown Concentrate(73234). With regular cleaning, AwlwashT will help avoid the build-up of dirt and grease which can cause the finish to appear dull. Formulated to clean Awlgrip topcoats, AwlwashT does not contain alkalies, acids or abrasives, unlike other "marine soap" products that are not suitable for use on painted surfaces. AwlwashT is 100% biodegradable. AwlwashT is recommended prior to use of Awlgrip's AwlcareT Protective Polymer Sealer and is available in an easy to dispense tip 'n measure quart bottle which can be refilled with the larger gallon-size container.

Awlwash has been extensively tested in Awlgripâs laboratories and in the harsh marine environment. All tests conclude that this product is what our customers have requested for years - an effective detergent for cleaning yet still gentle for frequent use on Awlgrip and Alwcraft 2000.
  • Awlwash Wash Down Concentrate is formulated to clean Awlgrip and Alwcraft 2000 topcoats.
  • Awlwash does not contain alkalies, acids, or abrasives.
  • Awlwash is free rinsing which decreases drying time.
  • Awlwash is 100% biodegradable.
  • Awlwash comes in a refillable, ãTip ÎN Measureä container, which makes it easy to get the proper mix ratio: One ounce of Awlwash per gallon of water
Directions:
  1. Rinse surface thoroughly prior to washing.
  2. Add 1 ounce of Awlwash per gallon of water.
  3. Wash surface while still wet from initial rinsing. Use a soft, non-abrasive applicator when washing the surface.
  4. Do not allow Awlwash to dry on the surface prior to rinsing. Wash small sections of large surfaces to insure the surface stays wet.
  5. Rinse surface thoroughly after washing.
  6. When finished, wipe surface with soft cotton towel or chamois to prevent water spots.
Note: If water spots are a problem, Awlgrip recommends the use of a water softener to reduce water spots. Water spots are caused by organic and inorganic impurities in the water.

If water beads are allowed to air dry, the water evaporates and leaves a residue on the paint. If this residue is not removed it may gradually etch the paint.

If water spots occur, they can be removed with Awlgrip's Awlcare Protective Polymer Sealer (73240).

Stubborn stains may require a higher concentration of Awlwash. High concentrations will require increased amounts of rinsing. Some stubborn stains may require Awlwash¨ to be used at full concentration.

Note: Awlgrip recommends washing the surface once a week to prevent dirt build up.

Keep from freezing.

Awlwash is available in quart and gallon containers.

Awlcare
Awlcare Protective Polymer Sealer (73240) is a non-abrasive, synthetic polymer formulated to clean and protect Awlgrip and Awlcraft 2000 high-gloss topcoats. Awlcare removes mild stains such as water spots and diesel soot. Awlcare increases resistance to attack from acid rain and other pollutants with regular applications. Awlcare is perfect for use after using Awlgrip's Awlwash Wash Down Concentrate and its easy-to-use formula can be applied in sun or shade. Available in pints or half-gallon sizes.

Awlgrip developed Awlcare for customers who want to protect their painted finish and need the additional cleaning power of a hand applied product. Awlcare will help temporarily seal and restore shine to painted surfaces that have become porous due to age or mistreatment. Once a painted surface becomes porous it allows dirt to collect on the surface making the normal washing process more difficult. Regular applications of Awlcare will help seal the porosity, helping to maintain a satisfactory appearance until there is time to repaint.
  • Awlcare is a hand applied, non-abrasive, synthetic polymer formulated to clean and protect Awlgrip and Awlcraft 2000 topcoats.
  • Awlcare contains no harsh abrasives and will not scratch the painted surface.
  • Awlcare leaves a non-yellowing, protective polymer coating which lasts through multiple washings.
  • Awlcare removes mild stains such as water spots and diesel soot.
  • Awlcare increases resistance to attack from acid rain and other environmental pollutants with regular applications.
