Chopi Chopi, the stunning 80m megayacht from CRN featured in our latest edition of AwlNews, has been named a finalist in the 2014 World Superyacht Awards which, in their 9th year, "honour the finest new Superyacht builds delivered to their owners in the past twelve months."
Built by CRN and with a full Awlgrip system on the superstructure and topsides, Chopi Chopi shimmered and amazed the crowds as she sharked through the waters of Ancona at her launching ceremony back in January 2013. Lamberto Tacoli, CRN’s Chairman and CEO, described Chopi Chopi as "a truly unique piece, a tangible example of how creativity, design, technology, and craftsmanship can harmoniously contaminate each other to achieve absolute excellence."
Chopi Chopi is a steel and aluminium displacement hull yacht with over 5 (+1) decks; a lower deck for the crew, engine room and a garage, a main deck for guests, an upper deck containing a living area and bar, the owner deck, sun deck and a sub lower deck, which is essentially a technical area featuring systems and equipment.
As the world leader in yacht professional topside paint, Awlgrip is proud to be the coating system of choice on this fantastic record-breaking build. We wish Chopi Chopi the best of luck in the World Superyacht Awards. It’s great to see such an exceptional yacht getting deserved recognition.
The winners of this year’s World Superyacht Awards will be announced on 3rd May.
